Roma 1, Lazio: Romelu Lukaku netted twice as Roma defeated Lazio 1-0 in the Coppa Italia semi-final on Wednesday night.

The hosts had a first-half chance when Mario Balotelli was brought down by a Lazio defender but his effort was saved by Milan goalkeeper Mauro Icardi.

Lukaku was at the centre of the Roma attack as the hosts held on for the victory.

The midfielder played a key role in the match as Lazio looked to secure a third consecutive Coppa Italian title and an extra Champions League spot.

The win means Lazio are third in the Serie A table and will be without Milan midfielder Nabil Bentaleb, who has been out since December with a calf injury.

Roma are third with 18 points, one ahead of Juventus and six points clear of Lazio.
